that's about double what it cost in our area.

it is also why I don't use the 110 dollar x 4 kits at 110 bucks each.

typically all you need is the top cover gasket and the main jet plug oring.

    takes about 4 hours.

did an old F80 yesterday took about 4 hours to rebuild the carbs.

now if they are pumping the fuel tanks and replacing lines the labor and fuel waste charge goes up.

add rebuilding/replacing a fuel pump and it goes up more.

someone tell me how to sync them witht he meter and ill do it next time lol.

I think this is the breakdown

      carb kits x4 $432
      fuel filter (gouged) $97
      fuel flush $230
      labor about $760

boat is still at the shop because they ordered the wrong carb kits. Carbs had to be in the ultrasonic? cleaner for 12 hours he said. I did get a 20% off card for the hassle but after the new carb kits were figured in I'm still at 1500

But, he has been in carburetors before. And these are simple single bowl, single float carbs.. Just my 2cts, would have been very do-able,,
I am with you. The cost of the "just wants to go boating" is pretty high in this situation. If I was a mechanic I would have more confidence than that, but maybe the OP is over being a mechanic (understandable).
