OX66 is the same closed loop speed density EFI system use around the world and information is in many books.
google: closed loop speed density EFI.
yes Virginia it is that easy.
faulty O2 sensor feedback can cause idle issues.
it is the only sensor not monitored on that system.
it can detect if it is unplugged or shorted.
if so it will fix A/F rich at idle and lean above 4000 RPM.

        heyzus H cristopher.
I hope you haven't bought all that sheet.
if so you got a lotta spare parts.
test the ign with my Kv tester. if I see what I expect I am done testing ign producing devices.
        simply done.
second I will test ign CONTROLING devices, first test is gonna be back it down and see what the timing does between idle and about 36-3800 RPM.
if that passes I am done with all ign system tests.however while I am testing the ign I also have my fuel pressure tester installed and my O2 sensor on the ole multimeter.
troubleshooting is easy but ya gotta know how the sytem works and what do you expect to see on the test device.
if you have no idea what you expect to see or how the system works your sunk.
OX66 uses an ECU CDI ign system.
the CDI part simply controls ign PRODUCING.
the ECU using various sensor feedbaacks CONTROLS ign.
the ECU does not monitor any fuel isssues.

Sea trial went well, seems all systems go. Anyone want to take a stab on what the culprit was!?

Nobody? For the sake of people cruising the board for answers. First I do believe it was either the regulator or hp pump that was the primary culprit but when I installed new parts it still preformed poorly but would at least idle for a minute rather than seconds. Upon pulling the VST (again) and lowering the pump to check the orings, I turned it over and found the oring that sets in the housing sealing the nozzle on the top of the HP Pump to the housing was degraded on one side to about the thickness of a 50# test leader. I replaced the oring and have since run 4 hrs at various rpm ranges without incident. In my defense, looking at the parts diagram I was confused thinking that oring was inside the pumps nozzle. It appeared the pump had a yellow oring inside which confirmed my mis-guided assumption. I should have checked the housing. Thanks for everyones help.

                  Thanks for the feed back.

Repairs are easy. Changing the O ring for instance. Trouble shooting, to determine which part needs to be replaced or repaired, is the hard part.

no need, a quick search showed,

"Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" is a phrase from an editorial called "Is There a Santa Claus?". The editorial appeared in the September 21, 1897, edition of The (New York) Sun and has since become part of popular Christmas folklore in the United States. It is the most reprinted newspaper editorial in the English language.[
