What's the best kind of grease or oil to keep the stainless rod lubricated. I
don't want to gum up the tube too bad. Thanks

Any decent marine grease will do BUT, I strongly suggest installing this product:

Steersman Steering Cable Grease Guard 7/8" Aluminum

It keeps water out, grease in. Had one on y old boat and transferred it to my current 1997 with the ORIGINAL CABLE..(19 PLUS years old)

Nope, but the water was about 6" over the dock last night! (usually 2-4' below it)

                  Thanks 99Yam!

We got WAY more rain today and its beyond northern GA now!!.

The tide and wind is definitely, finally going down to normal...

Nothing when it was off the coast.

Hopefully, everyone will be ok.. At least you can see it coming...

Short of the rain all day vs our normal AFTERNOON SHOWERS (just as hard), its been overcast and NICEr to work outside!

Now the East Coast gets its effects.

Heck, I have to cut the yard today with the rain and now sunshine..

                            not bad this morning.
I may have lost a siding strip.
boat is still floating and the generator only ran about 3 hrs last night.
