        On this outboard, IMHO it's all about serving your need at the right price. If it doesn't serve you, then it's too expensive at any price.

        If it's a runaway steal, I'd fog the cylinders and run on the starter to check that all is free and cycle the tilt/trim. If all good, have at it.

        If they think they're selling a near new motor and want commensurate price, I'd service per per rodbolt by master Yamaha tech and get his blessing on their dime first. Then offer at best few grand less than a commensurate 4-stroke.
