Fuel/water separator replacement troubles

    Mich,

    I just replaced my fuel / water separator on my transom (with clear bottom) today as well as the under cowl Yamaha filter.

    It would not pump up (as it hasn't in the past when dry). I simply start the engine (on muffs), let it idle and after probably 3 minutes, the under cowl hood filter fills, then I watch the large transom filter fill on its own (NO pumping on my end)...

    There's enough fuel in the VST to run that long easily and the pumps fill em up...
