So the T & T is NOW working?

If not did you try to bleed / fill the T&T by doing the following;

The engine needs to be trimmed FULLY UP and set on the mechanical support arms. All the rams extended... Then pull the fluid check plug and top off..

You may have to do this several times.


This procedure should be in your owners manual as well..

If the unit is leaking externally, you'll see fluid.

since I have zero history with boating, nevermind outboards
is it possible to not bleed the power trim well enough but still
have it work for 10-20 cycles ? Im thinking may be, just may be I finished the bleeding that the mechanic though was good ?

Still sounds like there was a repair or replacement of the lower unit

Yes fluid level can be "borderline", works fine and then might not. Incomplete bleeding leaves some air (by definition), and the bubble circulates thru the system

So, boat going back in the water tomorrow, need to find a mechanic I can trust! Finished fixing other problems that should not have happened if it was winterized correctly, but that's another story.. will keep posted if anything pops up,
