      edited my post, so it sounds like I need to either drop an inch which would increase RPM by 500 or drop a pitch which boost it by 200? That's what my search is telling me at least.

      Also what's the effect of going to a smaller diameter but upping the pitch? Perhaps like a 13" x16P I understand the pitch but not sure how pitch and diameter plays together.

        I see that by losing RPM you also lost top speed... assuming you want to go faster yes I think you need to gear down.
