  • Iridium Spark Plugs

Hi all, I'm looking to replace my NGK LFR5A-11 spark plugs on my 225hp Yamaha outboard with Iridium NGK DILFR5A11 spark plugs. Is this ok without damaging the motor?

I doubt the motor will ever know the difference....

The motor is a Yamaha F225TXR.

Thanks Bluefish, that helped . According to that website I need to get NGK LFR5AIX-11 if I replace the old plugs with Iridium plugs.

OK, I was wondering if it was a 2-stroke - in that case it definitely wouldn't matter since the plugs get changed more often. But if the price is considerably different, I don't really see the benefit for a 4-stroke, either.
