It was a ****ens of a job to refit the cowling seal on my 1998 9.9ft when it came off couple of years ago. After multiple tries I used polyurethane sealant and several screws to hold it in place as I milked it on. When the sealant had set removed screws and filled holes with sealant. Looks ok and is well fixed. Worth putting a little silicone grease on the seal to keep the rubber soft.
