Oh I see what you're saying...well I just finished pulling them out of engines and pulled out reservoirs out including wiring...gonna clean out both compartments. It's an old boat so I'm trying to clean it up as much as possible. 1994 century 2400.

I would personlly use both, especially in your situation..

The stock engine fuel filter and a transom mounted 10 micron fuel water separator.

A good transom mounted unit, $35-50.00.

As in my pic, I would get the style with the separate clear bottom that you can actually see any water acumulation. It also has a drainscrew in that plastic cup so you can dump the water simply by opening the valve.

It doesn't take much to clog up an idle/main jet (nor a fuel injector). A whole lot easier, cheaper than getting stuck or having fuel issues popping up from crap making it to the carb..


Just as a side note, I carry a spare, steel (standard-NO drain cup) fuel filter with my tool kit should the plastic cup somehow break/leak, etc.

why are you running 2 counter motors?

usually they run one counter rotating and one regular to help control the prop torque which affects the boat handling

The L says it is a counter rotating motor lower unit.
Do both motors have that sticker or not?

Have you looked at the site they posted to see what prop they had on a rig like yours or close to it?
