water pump

going to change water pump on my 2009 115 4 stroke f115tlr and was wondering if the shift is splined or do i have to unhook linkage ?

shows it to be splined(part #17).


Don't forget the bolt (#8) in the housing under the steering trim tab:

wanted to ask before i got to ruff with it

As I re-call on my F150, just gently work your way around them slowly prying them upward and off. Slow and easy so they don't bind.

Some liquid lubricant would help. There's no secret retaining clips, etc...

put cup back on and pry against it to remove the retainer or just cut it off and buy new going back
