For a 2006 F115, is there a fuel filter between the VST and the low pressure fuel pump? If so, what is the part number and how often should it be changed and checked? Thanks in advance.

Yamaha Outboard Parts 2006 and Later 4-stroke F115TXR 68V-1047408 FUEL INJECTION PUMP Diagram
it is number 33
from what i understand they started putting this filter on the motors in 2007, if your motor has it you can see it in the fuel line from low pressure pump to VST...if not you can get a inline filter and install it much cheaper than the cost of that over priced part. note part 9 in the same diagram is a screen/filter on the bottom of your high pressure pump and needs to be cleaned yearly along with the entire VST chamber.

It is not a good idea to put a cheapie inline filter on the pressure line from the lift pump to the VST. Most aftermarket filters are made for fuel line vacuum applications, not pressurized applications. You could be making a very unsafe situation for you, your loved ones, and innocent bystanders should the filter leak under pressure and the sprayed gasoline ignite.Originally posted by Sparkieboat View Postfrom what i understand they started putting this filter on the motors in 2007, if your motor has it you can see it in the fuel line from low pressure pump to VST...if not you can get a inline filter and install it much cheaper than the cost of that over priced part.
