  • Fuel pump assembly testing

I have twin Yamaha 250 76 degree. I have taken my 3 diaphram pumps off and want to test them. My manual says to apply 7 lbs of pressure and it should hold it for 10 seconds. It does not say 7 lbs for ten seconds it say's " If the diaphram is good it should hold pressure for ten seconds" My pumps when pressurized loses down to 2psi in ten seconds??????? Can anyone help me? Also is this a good way of testing these pumps?

    if they dont hold, replace

easier to leave hooked to hoses, pump ball and if gas comes out of vac port in rear, replace
