  • Yamaha engine will not start

I was doing some minor maintenance on my yamaha 200 2 stroke this weekend which included replacing the fuel water separator and what not. I replaced the fuel/water separator, primed the fuel up and the motor will not kick on. I'm certain the fuel is primed up, b/c I checked right at the VST filter. Is there anything else that I may have missed? If I flooded the engine, how long should it take before it will clear and start again. The motor ran fine before I replaced the filter and I have not had this problem before. All feedback is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark

Was there any water in old filter? Check for water in VST.

Yea, there was a tiny amount noticeable when I poured the old fuel into a clear jar. I just can't understand, why it ran beautifully on Saturday, replaced the filter on Sunday and now it won't start. I'm wondering if the carburater my be clogged somehow?

what year and model is your motor ?

you will have either vst OR carb, not both

if vst ,check for pumping when key is turned on

then check pressure @ schrader valve
