Following up on the sticky about the new 300HP 6-cyl. I just read in The Fisherman they have a salt water version coming out. Can somone confirm that this motor is 249 lbs less that last year's 8-cyl 300HP. That's a bit hard to believe!

Yes the 25 inch model is 558 lbs now, it is now a V-6 engine instead of a V-8 and uses the 4.2L engine block like the F250 and the new SHO models.
