  • 09/04 F225txr Nmea?

I have a pair of Yamaha F225 TXRD manufactured 09/04
    SN 69JX 1017840
    SN 69KX 1005755

From what I've read, '04/'05 was the changeover year for being able to connect these engines to a network. Is there a reference I can check the SNs to know if my engines are NMEA compatible?

I really like "specific displays" ie: oil pres, water temp, voltage, fuel burn rate, etc over "idiot lights".

TIA, and sorry if this is an elementary question.

The 2006 and newer models are Command Link compatable which can be connected to a NMEA 2000 network.

thank you, is there any way to get fuel flow info from them (from ecu maybe) w/o buying an entire aftermarket ff system?

      thanks again

If it was a 2006 model then the Command Link would give you that information but the 2005 and older motors would have to use the Fuel Management gauge kit 6Y5-W0088-70-00 Yamaha Fuel Management Kit, Single engine
This kit would need a Yamaha digital speedometer or connection to GPS to work properly.
