tach question

I have a tach part #6y8-8350T-01 and I was wondering if it will work with my 2003 yamaha two stroke 50 hp? Any info would be appreciated.

No 6Y8 is a Command Link tach which only works on 2006 and newer HPDI and four stroke fuel injected models.
You need a 6Y5-8350T-82-00 tach and a 68F-82553-70-00 harness and a 6Y5-83553-N0-00 harness.
