Yikes, on the hose water pump melt down!

Pretty sure it happened on the hose. I was only pumping H2O through the bottom of my 200 Four Stroke. Anyway, have it completely apart. I'm getting a complete rebuild kit, including the housing ( yep melted part of it). I've flushed out the motor through the top flush and getting no rubber specks. What else would you check or replace?
