  • OX66 Flushing

Cheeeez been reading a lot about corrosion on here and other forums and I'm a little tight assed about that problem happening with my engine. Some guys say they flush every time they run the boat and still have corrosion. So...the flushing attachment obviously doesn't circulate fresh water through the engine. Since my boat is in the water all season, can someone tell me if I can run the motor fully tilted out of the water while circulating fresh water through the flushing attachment? I don't think you 4-strokers can do this.

Yamaha doesn't recommend running engine on fresh water flush adapter(may not supply enough water to water pump to prevent water pump damage), we run the engines on 2 garden hoses one to ear muffs and other to flush adapter. As far as running in full tilt I believe the OX66 will run(never tried it) but not how good of a job of flushing it will do.
