Iguess I didn't post it right. Iam replacing thewater pump impeller and was wondering wheather the blades should be following the rotation orbe foward of the rotation? it seems like the blades would pick up more water if they weregoing against the rotation.

It follows the direction of rotation. Turn the impeller into the cup in the same direction as the motor shaft turns when running.
