  • Mercury/Yamaha wiring harness

    Hi,
    I have a 2003 mercury 75 Hp four stroke with a Yamaha powerhead. I am trying to wire a standard mercury ignition switch into the engine harness. The engine harness colors are; Black, White, Dark Green, Pink, Brown, Light Green, Dark Blue, and Red. There is no yellow wire. This motor has a ECM for spark control, advance, etc.
    The terminals on the switch are; B, M, S, M, I, C.
    What colors connect where on the switch without smoking the ECM?
    Thanks in advance

    Harness wires are
    Black= ground, one of the M terminal
    White= ignition stop circuit, other M terminal
    Red= 12 volts battery voltage, B terminal
    Dark Blue= Choke, C terminal
    Light Blue= trim up circuit
    Light Green= Trim down circuit
    Dark Green= tach signal
    Pink= warning horn
    Brown= starting circuit, S terminal
    I terminal= 12 volts key on, yellow or purple wire to gauges
