  • understanding Yamaha motors

    are there any mechanics manuals I could purchase for my twin 07 150 4 strokers. Purchased new but I didn't initiate until Mid summer of 08. I did the 10 hr. break-in changes, but I want a better picture of my motors.

    Absolutely...purchase an OEM service manual or the Seloc service manual. The Seloc manual is quite a bit more intuitive than the Yamaha. Purchase both manuals and really become enlightened.

      I bought a Clymer manual, but any manual is a lot better than none. Read it, study it, look at the motor, check the Yamaha outboard forums. There's a lot to learn and know about these motors that can save you time and money on maintenance and repairs, not to mention dependability of the motor. Good Luck!
