need help putting my 9.9 on my boat.

I have a Force by Mercury Marine on my Alum bassboat SS# OE130820. I bought a 1989 Yamaha 9.9 ELHP code 682c SS# 55674s what do I need to do to change these motors out? Where I like to fish at there are many 10hp or less lakes so the 40 is not doing me any good. All I need on the Yamaha is gas gears and steering. Thanks for any and all info
