  • Water pressure gauge calibration.

Is there a calibration setting on the water pressure gauge? I just installed a new PCV and thermostats. My VMax 150 has just been rebuilt and I'm running 12 to 15 Lbs in 90 degree water, I have good pressure at idle 5 to 8 lbs and when I throttle up it goes to 20 lbs and settles around 15 and gently sneaks it's way to 12 lbs. Should my exhaust dump show water at 22 lbs instead of 18 to 20 lbs and do you calibrate to the spring on the PCV to the gauge.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rookie, Greenhorn

No there is no calibration that can be done. The water will exit engine and go through exhaust and out the prop, not visible. 12 to 15 at full throttle is ok.
