  • water spitting from exhaust? (2stroke)

Not sure if this is normal or not but I noticed the other day that some water is spitting from the top exhaust above the water line. It seems to be peeing water pretty good so I hope everything is okay.
Another question that pops in my mind is why is there two exhaust points?
    The Motor is a 2002 25hp 2 stroke Yamaha

Those are exhaust relief holes and yes water will come out sometimes.

I've noticed this on a friend's boat. A 27' Whaler w/ twin 1997 V250 OX66's. The port engine spills some water with exhaust at idle, but the starboard spills no water, and has some exhaust staining, probably from the lack of water to rinse it off.

Both engines run fine and share similar fuel efficiencies. Any chance of a problem with either motor?

      Thanks!
