  • No Tach Lights

The oil warning lights in my analog tach no longer comes on when the switch is on. Do they get their power from the switch or from the oil control unit? Not sure where to start tracing power source.
    Thanks

If this is a Yamaha tach then they get power from key switch, what motor do you have?

It is a Yamaha tach with the green, yellow, red lights in the face of the tach. The motor is 1986 115 HP with oil injection.
      Thanks

The oil level signals gets to tach by way of the oil harness on back of tach and connects to engine. The older tachs used light bulbs not LED lights, might check to see if any bulbs are burnt out.

I have twin 115,s I hooked the harness that does not work to the other tach and all lights come on when the key is turned on. The yellow and red then go out and only the green stays on as it should. By none of the lights working on one tach I figure its a main power feed I am losing somewhere. Just not sure if its the switch or the engine.
