I have a 1990 200hp that I recently started having problems with it after it sat all winter. I found that I had lots of water in the tank, so much that the water fuel separator couldn't handle it all. Took the boat in for a carb rebuild and plug replacement. Mechanic says he rebuilt cabs but did nothing about the fuel. After getting the boat back to the lift, it died twice, I have removed 72 gals of watered fuel, looked like milk. Now on an external tank the motor idles well and throttles up fine but after about 10 secs of WOT the motor begins to die. If I throttle back to 3700 rpm's it will start to run well again then repeat the process. Do I need to have the carbs rebuilt again or what do you guys think. Not too sure they got the carbs right. Happened with a different motor once and it went back three times. Give me some opinions/guidance.
