  • water in lower cowl 90 HP

    Hi All,

Over the past few weeks I have noticed a little water leak out of my 90 HP as I tilt it up after use. At first I thought it was due to an old ripped cover that leaked during heavy rain and seeped into the cowl. Yesterday I noticed water drip out again and no rain for the past week.

Nothing seems to be leaking inside the engine while running. Head gasket seems fine water tube to the pee hole is not leaking.

    BTW the engine runs fine...

So how can water leak in and accumulate in the lower cowl? Any ideas? Are there any weep holes or passages to allow water to leak out? I am concerned about electrical connections.

    Thx

There is drain holes in bottom cowling but it's better is stored in trim down position. Water may be coming in through air vent at top of cowling if trimmed up.
