  • Digital tach -2 to 4 stroke conversion

I replaced my original 2002 150 VMAX with digital tach and speedo with a 2005 150 4 stroke using my original gauges. I removed the tach, there were no switchs to change the settings on the back of the tach. When I test run the new 150 4 stroke the tach seems to read correctly. However trim N tilt or the oil warning light part of the gauge does not work. The original engine had a separate harness with two connectors that I belive operate these two functions but there is not a four terminal plug to connect to under the hood of the 150 4 stroke. There seems to be a 2 connector plug that goes to the tilt sending unit. Do I have to buy a new harness to connect the guage or is there an adaptor kit available?

If it's a 2002 gauge it should have dip switches, if gauge is older than 2000 then wont be get all function to work on new engine. If it is 2002 gauge you will need an adapter harness connected to tach, part number 6Y5-85335-00-00.
