  • Connecting Yamaha N2k to a standard N2k backbone

I want to see engine data from my 200 four stroke on my Navnet 3D system. Has anyone made there own interface cable from a Yamaha Command Link network to a standard NMEA 2000 backbone. If so do you have any pictures and a wiring diagram.

I know Mertron sell a cable to do the job, but I have the Yamaha Device cable and a NMEA 2000 micro connector, just need to know how to wire it. I'm thinking you only need to hook up the blue and white wires in the micro connector?

I have never done it and Yamaha doesn't have any information on connecting Command Link to any other network other than connecting to NMEA 0183 output leads of GPS to Command Link for speed signal on speedo.
