  • Broke headbolt off flush with block...

Ahh... Tried to change the head gasket on my 1993 225 Yamaha and have snapped (2) bolts flush with the block. I've tried every machine shop that I can find and nobody wants the job.. I'm hoping someone can give me some good advice!!

The engine (did until now) ran great, but I was seeing swelling/corrosion around the head/block.. Upon inspection it looks like the water jacket around the dome of the head is deteriorated to the point the wall is much thinner that the rest.. Reason I attempted this was my friend saw the same on his 150, ignored it and had water intrusion in the lower cylinder and it detonated..

Thanks in advance for your assistance!!

You might take to a Marine dealer, We deal with that all the time. There is no simple way, it is drilling and tapping it out
