also 40 HP 2stroke that needs help!

pretty much the same story that frewsky told.

40HP 2-stroke '88-'94 model
just replaced the bottom crankshaftbearing.
start perfectly but when it gets to 2000rpm it starts to miss.. sounds like hitting a rev. limiter. carbs cleaned by dealer last year. I can't find anything wrong!! new plugs fitted.. no improvement.

Can anyone help me?

Sounds like warning system is being activated(limits to 2000 rpm's), overheat warning or low oil warning. If don't hear the buzzer it may be bad as well.
