  • 2004 40HP Two Stroke - Foot Question

Used the boat all weekend while camping, then took it home yesturday to clean up for the week. Flushed the motor for 10 minutes then shut it off and disconnected the hose. After that I usually tilt the motor all the way down to allow the remaining water to drain out of the vent holes on the foot below the cavitation plate, the holes that usually spray water water while on the hose. Anyways when I tilted the motor down, I noticed a litle bit of oil coming from the top two holes (not even enough to make it to the ground). It stopped after a few minutes, so I repeated the process and no oil leaked. Not a drop and none in the driveway the next day. Note: there is no oil in the water coming from the pee hole, never overheated, no alarms sounding. The oil in the foot was just changed in April.

    Any ideas???

Could just be some unburned oil from engine from idling so long.

I figured it was something like that.
