I have a Ranger Z21. I was running about 45MPH, hit a wake going into the channel and hit the water really hard. The engine shut off and will not restart. I only have water pressure and temp guages. All look ok. I get an audible alarm on my dash. I tried to jump the temp switches to see if they were "closed." I get a different pitch on the alarm.

I just got it out of the shop after 3 weeks. Told me it was the Fuel Filter. Is there anything else that I can check? Wondering if it may be something simple.

Am a fishermen not a mechanic. Check your "kill switch", had a problem with this once, drove me crazy. Your attachment could have gotten loose.

Yes could be stop switch or landyard cord. If starter spins engine over(but fails to start) and when ignition switch returns to on position the buzzer sounds, that means landyard cord is unplugged.
