digital gauge on 1986 motor

can i hook a new digital yamaha gauge to a 1986 yamaha 70hp motor?

You would use 6Y5-8350T-82-00 digital tach, 68F-82553-70-00 trim/oil harness connecting gauge to engine, and adapters 6H0-82541-00-00, 6N7-82541-00-00. Also need 6Y5-83553-N0-00 gauge harness connects to key switch and gauge.
