    Gents,
Just bought a '99 Grady with a 150. The guy is a neighbor and I didn't get a survey, but the sale is conditional on sea trial. With the stock prop what RPM should the engine max out at? I do know the water pump needs to be replaced. Is the procedure given in an earlier post for a 200hp the same for a 150hp?

    Thanks for the help guys!

The wide open rpm range for that motor is 4500-5500 rpm's. There is a lot of threads on water pumps. I suggest you get a service manual, makes it a lot easier.
