  • CCA for Yamaha 150

I'm wondering what the Cold cranking Amp requirement is on a 97 150 Yamaha? I run 3 batteries, 2 for *****ing group 29's and 1 to run my livewells, onboard electronics and crank the engine, it is a group 24 dual purpose Interstate.

Can I run a deep cycle battery in place of the dual purpose, as long as it meets CCA? Or should I upgrade to a larger dual purpose, as I ned to run my livewells constantly as with electronics?

Using a deep cycle, maintenance-free or gel cell batteries for starting are not recommended.
40 to 200hp carb model requires 70 Amp hour 380 cold cranking amps with 124 minutes of reserve.
