  • Lower end lube leak

after winter i was preparing the boat for the water and notice lube had and still was slowly leaking from the lower end of my yamaha vmax 150. i had is serviced before storing it and brought it back to the same guy thinking he might be able to solve this problem. they check it for lube it was low or almost out, pressure tested it and the seals where fine. now the first snow storm the plow guy bumped the trailer which inturn snapped the skeg of. i've since bought a bolt on skeg but still wonder why the lube leaked out. can someone answer this please.

    thanks so much,
    concerned boat owner

Not sure why but need to check it for water in oil after you run it.

Take it out and run it. Then remove bottom drain screw in lower unit if there is water in oil it has a seal leaking.
