  • F150's to Garmin 4210 NMEA 2000

I'm considering hooking my F150's to my Garmin 4210 to get engine info (RPM's, water temp, oil pressure, etc.). The Garmin unit has a NMEA 2000 network.

I'm not sure if my engines have the Command Link or NMEA 2000. They are Yamaha LF150TXR 64PX Manuf:5/6 and F150TXR 63PX Manuf:6/6

I have the round Yamaha gauges for speed, rpm and FMS.

If they are are capable what else do I need to get to NMEA 2000?

Your motors are Command Link compatable. Yamaha does not have adapters to connect Command Link to NMEA 2000 network. Garmin or some other electronic company may have connections, not sure. Your round gauges could be Command Link or standard Digital gauges, they look alike.

      Command Link

      I found cables - Maretron.

This was a repower in '07 from SWS's to F150's. Could they have used the old wiring and gauges?

How can I tell if the round gauges are Command Link?
If they are I assume I could connect to Command Link at the gauges?
