oil mess at carb

I have a 1988 v6excelxg 225 yahama and it leaks oil all over the jack plate when i trailer the boat down the road. it looks like it's coming out of the carb intake it's not coming from the tank. it's only trimmed a little

Probably still has the original oil pump on engine. The replacement oil pumps(6K7-W1320-00-00) have check valves to solve that problem.
