225 two stroke lower gearbox problems

I am attempting to remove the bearing housing from the lower unit body but can't move it. I have already removed the nut and lower washer, but can't budge the bearing housing. Anyone know how to get it free?

You will have use heat to remove it.

Do you apply heat to the bearing housing itself or the outer housing? How much heat, I doubt it should be red hot?

You will have to be careful when heating aluminum, just a little too much heat will melt the metal. The housing is what needs to be heated.
