  • oil pump operation

Simply put what are the workings of the oil delivery pump ,how does it regulate the amount of oil to the motor at any given rpms ? is there and adjustment any where???
What is the method to check the amount being delivered apart from mark the oil tank and start with a full petrol tank and get both quantities and work it out that way .

You guess it i haven got a service manual yet but im working towards getting one real soon !!

It's a gear driven pump off of crankshaft of engine, more rpm's more oil. There is no adjustment.
Measure amount of oil needed to refill tank when you refill with gas.

      Thanks for that !

The steel frame that holds the main oil tank was all rusted so i made a mold off it and changed it slightly and now have a fibreglass unit that is white /clean looking / non rusting and is able to be glassed directly to the side of the boat hull without nuts and bolts or screws. :cool
