F115 idles way to fast

yr 2000 F115TRXY My motor has had a problem of hitting fast idle(1000-1100rpm)periodically,warm or cold, for 2 years. It ran fine at the dealer. Can't fix it if it ain't broke. But now it stays on hi idle, but my dealer is set up for snowmachines and I want to fish. Is anybody familiar with this problem? Thanx

make sure your throttle cable is not the culprit,unhook it at the motor end and check where the throttle linkage sets before and after.
if it does not change you can easily adjust the low end stop screw,starborad side. fixit as high idle is very rough on your gears.
