  • OX66 Water Leak

    2000 200HP OX66

Have developed a small leak from underneath the shroud(?) immediately below the lower engine cover. This shroud appears to also cover the two rectangular engine ports. I am assuming that the connections for the salt water flush and the PRV hose connect to the upper case behind that shroud and that there is a leak at a fitting or in a hose. Cannot find an exploded view of the shroud or any way to remove the shroud for inspection. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Motors are on a GW 272 Sailfish on a lift. Cannot easily access the motors.

I have the same motor, discovered the same problem last spring launch.
Turns out, it wasn't a problem at all. I took that "shroud" off and discovered there is nothing behind there, all it does (really) is cover the bolts for the power head. That water you see "leaking" isn't actually leaking but running behind that shroud after it exits the exhaust. I left mine alone and it wasn't a problem at all this past season, 70+- hours later.
I hope yours is the same.
