Coil testing (89 200)

I tested my ignition coils and get .50 ohms not the .25 that is the spec.

Is that a problem?

I had cranked motor over to do compression test w/o grounding plug wires so I was concerned that I may have damaged the coils.

It's probably ok, resistance specs are plus or minus 20%. It's not uncommon to see readings a little high and still work ok.

Have you seen damage caused by cranking (for comp test) w/o disabling the ignition?
