  • What harness do I need for transom triducer to Command Link speedo 2008 F115

What harness do I need to hook up transom triducer to Command Link speedometer (6Y8-8350T-11-00) on a 2008 F115 four stroke? The distance is 15 - 16 feet from motor to speedometer. How long is the wire that comes with the transom triducer? Thanks

It only comes with about 4 ft of wire, you connect a pigtail bus wire to transducer and connect to Hub1 usually mounted in back of boat close to engine. Pigtail bus wire are available in
    6Y8-82521-01-00 1ft
    6Y8-82521-11-00 2ft
    6Y8-82521-21-00 3ft
    6Y8-82521-31-00 6ft
    6Y8-82521-41-00 9ft
    6Y8-82521-51-00 12ft

Command Link Speedometer has 6 prong plug, what harness goes to it?

What harness goes to the Command Link Speedometer. There is a 4 prong which I assume is the pigtail bus. What harness goes to the 6 prong plug on the back of the speedometer (6Y8-83500-11-00)? Thanks for all your help.

The speedo connects to Hub2(hub at console) by way of a pigtail bus wire, same part numbers as listed on last post.

          Command Link Speedometer harnesses?

There are 2 male plugs on the back of the speedometer. One is a 4 prong male connection and the other is a 6 prong male connection. If a I am understanding it right,4 prong harness goes on one of the 4 prong plugs and a 4 prong harness goes on this 6 prong connection? Do they sell the plastic connectors on the end of the pigtail bus separately? I will be ordering the parts thru boats.net, so I want to make sure I have everything I need. I have purchased the Command Link Tachometer kit and the command link speedometer by itself. I will be purchasing the transom Triducer from boats.net. Do I have to use both hubs? What else will I need?

Ok, to complete the tach kit you will need 1 main bus wire(hub to hub) and 1 pigtail bus wire per gauge and transducer(you would need 3 pigtails), you will need to install both hubs if using the transducer. Since you didn't get the 2 gauge kit(tach and speedo) you will also need a speed sensor kit(60V-8A4L1-01-00) and the 6 prong wire(6Y8-8356N-01-00) to connect to fuel tank sender and GPS(optional).
            Main Bus wire
            6Y8-82553-50-00 10ft
            6Y8-82553-11-00 15ft
            6Y8-82553-21-00 20ft
            6Y8-82553-31-00 25ft
            6Y8-82553-41-00 30ft

The Transom sensor to Command Link Speedometer

I will be ordering the transom sensor which senses speed, depth and water temperature. Will I still need the speed sensor kit? Attached to the transom sensor, a 4 prong pigtail will connect to the rear hub, and then another pigtail bus to the console hub and then another one to the gauge?

I have never tried not installing speed sensor kit but it will probably work with transducer.
