No Oil

on a 2005 60 2 stroke will the motor stop running as a safety if you run out of oil in the tank?

If the oil level gets low then the warning buzzer will sound and engine will go into rpm reduction, will drop to 2000 rpm,s.

there was no buzzer,loss rpm added oil and it runs ok now,just did not know if i did any damage
