Engine Troubles

I have a 1994 yamaha 50ejrs jet. When you first get on the throttle it cuts out and wants to die you have to really feather the throttle of about 10-20 seconds everytime you start out from an idle. doesnt matter if the motor is cold or warm. But once you feather for 10-20 seconds it really comes to life just like it should. it seems to me that its trying to flood its self out or its not getting enough air but the air cleaner is new. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like dirty carbs, try cleaning carbs.
