Tach ID

I recently acquired a Yamaha digital tach with the numbers 6Y8T-11 on the back. I cannot find any info on it. Can anyone tell me if it will work with a 04 70 two stroke.

If it has two square 4 prong wire connectors, it should work.

This only has one square where a pigtail or harness would plug into it. Will this work? I cannot find a pigtail listed anywhere.

No it will need 2 of the 4 prong connectors, the harness for the 2004 is 68F-82553-70-00 and 6Y5-83553-N0-00. The part number for the tach is 6Y5-8350T-82-00.

Can I use this (6Y8T-11) on my '94, 150 hp ?

It's probably a Command Link gauge and will not work on your motor.

6Y8 gauges are Command Link gauges for 2006 and newer motors that are Command Link compatable.
