How do I set up fuel sending unit on 115efi?

I have a 2003 115 4 stroke efi, I have a 17.5 ft Crestliner fish hawk pro with an intank 40gal.
There is a sending unit on the tank, how do I set this up to the digital gauge that came with the motor? Is there somekind of adapter Yamaha sells?

Do you see a White/Blue stripe wire off the back of the gauge not hooked to anything? This is usually the wire that goes to the sender. From the sender you have a ground wire (black) and the other wire attached to the "sender" or center post off the sender, this is where the white/blue stripe wire goes. Good luck.

i hooked my sender wire to the white/blue wire and got no reading. i know the sending unit works because i can plug it into my regular old gauge and it reads perfect and i have the black wire grounded too. Does it take some special kind of fuel sending unit.
